He was a visiting scholar at the University of Chicago in 2012. His dissertation on the topic of theft and thieves in literature and myth was finished in 2015 and is now published under the title \u00bbDiebe. Die heimliche Aneignung als Ursprungserz\u00e4hlung in Literatur, Philosophie und Mythos\u00ab [\u00bbThieves. The Secret Appropriation as a Story of Origin in Literature, Philosophy and Myth\u00ab]. Following his PhD-scholarship, he received funding from the German Research Council (DFG) for his research on the \u00bbCultural History of Theft\u00ab.
